How can a poor Architect can start a delivery business?

Being identified with the struggling Artist and an unheralded self-proclaimed Scientist, as myself - life is hard in the Philippines.

Creative persons like me, a lot of times, need a quiet and unperturbed space, so that I can be able to focus my artistic energy to creative works.

But that is just too idealistic.

Time will tell if I can be able to come back home in Davao City. I will be confronted by three mischievous angels; the inquiring 7 years old eldest, the playful 4 year old middle, and demanding newly born youngest.

I cannot imagine how they will be a trolling-like quartet of acapella choir of crying spawns and a commanding online selling queen, asking me to deliver some goods outside our small kingdom.

But I will never remorse it. This is what I wanted and prayed for all of my life; to have a family I can call my own.

Moving forward, knowing that I have the highest possibility of losing my job this year, I retrospect on this present reality. My plan of going home as agreed is on November this year. The is the longest stay at least, if the company I am presently working with, will not terminate me earlier than I am projecting.

So, rather than keeping my back resting on the bed all day long, or thinking negatively and pestering others by controversial political and religious comments on Facebook – I have decided to revisit my blog website and continue writing. By blogging, I can be able to documents our progress, and who knows, this blog site will help people in the future.

As of today, with regards to our delivery business, I have finished a draft website, so that I can be able to market online on my free time, our new venture, while I am still having work abroad. At least we can be able to “test the waters” be

fore we will invest our meager resources and our precious time and effort for that business.

For the start, we are planning to hire a part time motor-bike driver.

I will be preparing the research and study the rates of fees according to the distance and the items being transported.

If ever this undertaking will be successful, then we can be able to pay our mortgages and our obligations, put food on the table, improve the business further, or even expand it in the future.

If this business will be successful, then this can be able to support my artistic ventures in the future.

I consider this blog and this businesses as our farm. I keep on planting, so that we can harvest in the future.

"Being born poor is not a mistake, but to die poor is a a choice."

God helps those who helps themselves.
